The TALI Book

Saying alhamdulillahirobbil alamin (“all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds”), the effort to publish the “Buku Tali” (the TALI Book), which contains the names of the dzurriyah (descendants) of KH Ibrohim Ghozali of Bedi, Ponorogo, has been completed. This book, which contains the refined family data, is presented on the occasion of the 7th Silatur Arham (family reunion gathering; literally “joining the ties of kinship”) of Bani KH Ibrohim Ghozali (the descendants of KH Ibrohim Ghozali) at Masjid Baitus Sholihin, Serag Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency.

The data in this book is drawn from the previous edition of the Buku Tali, supplemented with new family data from the last five years, namely 2016–2022. Even so, not every change in family data could be included, because of the limited information obtained by the Koordinator Bani (branch coordinators). Therefore, in future, should there be any additions or changes to the data, families are kindly asked to contact their Koordinator Bani, so that the information can then be entered into the Buku Tali. The names of the Koordinator Bani and the numbers at which they can be contacted are printed at the end of this book.

In this edition of the Buku Tali we have deliberately included once more the short history of Mbah (grandfather/ancestor) KH. Ibrahim Ghozali, in the hope that it may broaden the knowledge of his descendants and serve them as an example. That material is taken from the 2011 edition of the Buku Tali.

Finally, we thank everyone who helped in the publication of this book. May this book be of benefit in strengthening the bonds of silatur rahmi (kinship and goodwill) among the dzurriyah of Bani KH Ibrohim Ghozali of Bedi, Polorejo, Babadan, Ponorogo. Amin.
