Rabithatul Arham min Bani Ibrahim Ghozali

رابطة الأرحام من بني إبراهيم غزالي

RABIGH

The Association of the Descendants of KH. Ibrahim Ghozali — bringing the six branches together.

The RABIGH emblem

The Emblem of Bani KH. Ibrohim Ghozali

  1. The Arabic writing above the organisation’s name, which means: The Union of the Descendants of KH. Ibrohim Ghozali
  2. The Ka’bah (the cube-shaped sanctuary in Makkah towards which Muslims pray) symbolises the akhirat (the hereafter), humanity’s final destination (the true future).
  3. The globe symbolises the world, the place where people sow their amal (good deeds)
  4. The six chains symbolise the number of KH. Ibrohim’s children, six in all
  5. The handshake symbolises silaturrohim (maintaining the bonds of kinship)

Overall meaning: This organisation is named Robithatul Arham min Bani Ibhorim Ghozali (abbreviated RABIGH), meaning the Union of the Descendants of KH. Ibrohim Ghozali, which began from six children who always and steadfastly maintain silaturrahim, hoping for happiness in this world and in the hereafter. Happiness in this world and the hereafter can only be attained through ilmu (knowledge). This accords with the saying of the Prophet SAW (shallallahu ’alaihi wa sallam, “may Allah bless him and grant him peace”):

“Man arodad dun-ya faalaihi bil ilmi, waman aradal akhirata faalaihi bil ilmi, waman aradahuma faalaihi bil bilmi”.

Whoever desires happiness in this world must attain it through knowledge; whoever desires happiness in the hereafter must attain it through knowledge; and whoever hopes for happiness in both must (also) attain it through knowledge.
